Guillaume Mascotto, U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance will address key trends in sustainable finance and the role of banks. Impact Finance is an industry leader in providing financial solutions that help create positive impact for communities and the environment and plays a critical role in mobilizing capital to meet social and environmental commitments. Guillaume will share an overview of the company both in the U.S. and in Europe, as well as define the bank’s newly created sustainable finance function and its key areas of primary focus. In addition to highlighting three trends, he will share how banks can play a role in advancing sustainable finance and de-risking green investment.

For 35 years, its tax credit investments and syndications, lending and other financial solutions have helped create affordable housing, spur economic activity in underserved communities, restore historic buildings, strengthen community development financial institutions (CDFIs) nationwide, and develop renewable sources of energy. The team also helps U.S. Bank mobilize capital to meet the social and environmental commitments the bank has made regarding carbon emissions, community development and more.
Guillaume Mascotto is senior vice president and managing director, head of Sustainable Finance at U.S. Bank. He is responsible for driving progress and accountability for the enterprise ESG commercial strategy and roadmap. His team brings specialized expertise and support to enable U.S. Bank business lines identify and launch products and services that meet customers’ growing sustainable financing needs. Previously, Guillaume served as global head of ESG Strategy at Jennison Associates LLC. Prior to Jennison, Guillaume was head of ESG and investment stewardship for American Century Investments. His previous experience includes ESG credit research analyst at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), focusing on financials and utilities credits; senior ESG research analyst and utilities sector lead at MSCI; and corporate sustainability advisor to Resolute Forest Products. Guillaume received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Affairs, as well as a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from the University of Quebec at Montreal. He also holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) in International Business and Economics from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
